intentional brushstrokes...

no matter the application

...in the constant of art imitating life, or life imitating art... 'intentional brushstokes' came to mind as a good theme to meet the today's with.  This is a statement that make to students in just about every painting class, and say over and over in my mind as I myself paint... but this morn, it brought itself out to be a way to not only paint, but to approach life? Hmmmm...
"Intentional Brushstrokes"... Think that just may also be a life theme to live by?  For to do so, you have to visualize and reflect, yet internalize and not neglect expression.  The profound? NOT, Just the thought of the day as seek to press on in it...

Of late, my painting studio and been filled with life size projects... turtle, dolphin both fund raisers for the Sea Venice campaign at the Venice Art Center... a mural that thought was done, but when took it down to prepare to take over to install, decide its not done after all... and some paintings of eyes, yes eyes. To the dearest eye Dr. in the world... that it would mean the world if could complete these just right for them.

As ponder today's thought... it is how see to overcome the paintings that seem to just never to get done as planned, with the ones that seem to paint themselves...
intentional brushstrokes...
visualize and reflect, internalize and do not neglect expression...
for fun here are some pictures of the dolphin and such.  My classes are once again in full swing.  There is one that will fit just about anyones schedule or theme... be it drawing, painting, one day or five weeks.  Check them out at the pages instructions/classes/workshops and VAC 12-13...
