because of an invitation to be a part of a group exhibit, and in the continuing pursuit of this next season in life,
for the first time since 1998 I did NOT submit a local teaching
schedule to the beloved Venice Art Center or Boca Grande Art Center, nor
have I made a small group calendar at the Atelier for 2017-2018. With both
excitement and heavy-heartedness I am looking forward to dedicated
Studio time this season; my spirit of being a teacher remains, and 
I look forward to seeing how all of this unfolds...

1st Thursday of the month in season, at my historic downtown Venice working Art studio, the doors will be opened for visitors 5-8pm. You may make an appointment for yourself or groups also to visit the Atelier at other times too...
Come and see the working side of an Artist Studio, where Plein Air Field Studies find their way to a grandeur scale with expanded compositions and studies. Along with the long awaited series of Figures and Portraits, titled Entertaining Angels Unaware, representing the many angels here on earth that have blessed and helped me along the way. So many to thank!
Frankly, I can not wait to PAINT! Simply Paint!
Extensive Travels since April 2013 through today, in everything from solo cross-country 5 month 21,000+ mile jaunt car camping in my Trusty Steed of a Tahoe, to NOT as a Newlywed in our home away from home on wheels- continuing to focus on "Growing as an Artist to meet the next season in life" is what began this journey of 'HITTing the Road' first fueled in 2004... driving my eldest child to their freshman year of college... came to life and continues today. Its been a long and winding road. There is Much to share, and, much learned myself. Learning never ends for any of us. I am looking forward to the month of Oct. where I will be taking a workshop myself with Jill Carver back up in the San Juan Mountains... to participating in the En Plein Air Texas Plein Air Competition too with some of the best Plein Air Painters in the country taking part. Right after this/these, concentrated studio time is the plan.

ALL DAY equals 2 sessions w/half hr. lunch break
COST:
single session $80 (4 hrs @ 20/hr)
3 sessions $210 (12hrs @ 17.50/hr)
6 sessions $360 (24hrs @ 15/hr)

Students may advance purchase sessions to get the discounted price, and reserve as you know which dates work for you best thru March 2016. Reserve asap/ very limited space but please note:*no refund on reserved dates, but you may refill your spot with another student. Karen will help you of course, as much as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule, but Karen can not be responsible for every students personal schedules, only the schedule at An Original Hitt Fine Art & Atelier. Also, you may arrange your own private small group and book the available date for your private painting group. An excellent opportunity for a family painting/drawing session. Home School students may form their own group too.
